Giftshot

Ok so how cool is this?

My friend Deanna received a special necklace from her grandfather for graduation. It was a something he had purchased for his dear wife and after she passed on he wanted the token to continue down the family line. My friend was appreciative of the thought but figured "thank you" just wasn't quite enough so instead of your typical quickly scrawled note, she asked me to take her photo with her wearing the heirloom.

Small Tokens

Some moments lend themselves well to a photograph. This young student had daily given me a small bouquet of forget-me-nots. He didn't know the name of these blooms and yet I think the meaning was still intended.

Sunny Summer-like January

Sometimes the weather gives an unseasoned gift. A few weeks back, instead of the dismal clouds and everlooming forcast of snow or sleet or drizzling rain, my town was delighted with a beautiful, sunny day! Not only had the clouds scattered but the sun decided to pour down in full force creating a wonderful warmth of at least 50 degrees. Even the wind obeyed by causing nothing more than a gentle stir occasionally. A few friends and I were drawn to the beach and had a wonderful time snapping shots and playing along the waters edge.
